Job Vacancy for Part-time Post of Project Key Worker
Young Solutions wants to appoint a key worker to deliver a new fixed term project entitled Seek and Reach in the Malvern and Wychavon Areas. The purpose of the project is to seek out, identify and engage through mentoring NEET/unemployed 16-24yrs who are generally hard to find and aim to reduce the number of young people classified as NEET/Unemployed in Worcestershire.
The purpose of the key worker is to ensure the identification of the young people through making contact with, meeting and supporting through mentoring young people aged 16 – 24 who are disengaged from employment, education and training.
The project commenced in December 2016 and ends in March 2018.
All staff will be given targets as this is a payment by results project. Key workers will have around 25 young people with whom they will work for agreed periods of time or until they can be progressed into education/training, employment, apprenticeships, or traineeships.
The post is for 15 hours per week, including possible evening and weekend work.
Salary – £8,580 per annum plus travel and subsistence at Young Solutions rates.
The key worker will be offered a contract until 31st December 2017 renewable subject to project performance for 4 further months on 1st January 2018.
All staff must possess a current enhanced DBS certificate which must be shown to Young Solutions before commencing work plus proof of identity.
All staff must have a valid and current driving licence and access to personal transport.
This is a county wide project, but the key worker will be expected to work within the Malvern/Wychavon area. However, there may be some requirements to work outside these areas, but this will be agreed between the key worker and Young Solutions manager.
