New Membership Year Launched

April marks the beginning of Young Solutions’ membership year and we would be delighted if you would chose to renew your membership for 2019/20. In the past year we have provided a range of services to members including the provision of information, support, access to training, DBS checking service, organisational health checks and the chance to share information with other members.

The fees for 2019/2020 have not increased and are:

  • Small organisation (less than 300 young people) – £30
  • Large organisation (over 300 members or multi-unit) – £40
  • Individual – £20

It is easy to renew your membership – simply go to www.youngsolutions.org.uk/about-us/membership  and complete the online membership form. If you can’t complete the form online please contact Jo Banfield on 01905 795098 and she will be able to help.

Many members tell us how much they appreciate being a member of Young Solutions and we hope that we are delivering for you and providing you with value for money. We would welcome your decision to re-join in 2019/20.
Those members that have joined since 1st October 2018 will not need to pay again at this time, but please return a completed 2019/20 from so that we can make sure our records are up to date and comply with GDPR.

Please note that if you currently use our DBS Umbrella Body Service, the administration fees will be invoiced at the higher non-member rate if you do not renew your membership and you will not get the first four forms free of the administration fee per year.

Young Solutions received an unsolicited donation of £1000 from Quayside Frozen Foods of Gateshead. The trustees agreed that we would pass the money on to our members. With only £1000 available they agreed that it should be shared between five groups – each receiving £200.
Young Solutions Membership year commenced on 1st April 2019 and organisations returning their membership form and fee by a 15th May 2019 will be eligible to enter the draw to receive £200.

In order to be considered you must provide a brief statement of what you will do with the £200. This should be for activities or equipment directly for the use of children and young people (and those up to 24 years of age with a disability). Please email office@youngsolutions.org.uk with your brief statement, membership form and fee.

All organisations who return their membership form, pay the membership fee and complete the statement of what they will do with £200 will be entered into a draw which will be held in the Young Solutions offices on Thursday 16th May.

The winners will be informed immediately following the draw and, once their bank details are received, we will transfer £200 to their account.

The winners will be required to send a brief report and photographs of the activity or equipment to Young Solutions by 30th June so that we can send a report to Quayside Frozen Foods thanking them for their support
