One area of Young Solutions activities is the challenge of demonstrating the impact of work with young people.
Proving the value of youth work has always dogged the business. Those of us involved no only too well its contribution to the lives of young people, but demonstrating it to others, not least politicians and funders, has always been a challenge. Recently, Young Solutions staff have been trained to deliver Outcomes Star. This is a scheme that focuses on proving evidence of soft outcomes, the stuff that has always been difficult to measure and prove is happening. Outcomes Star allows for workers to record the influence their work is having on young people and its effects. Outcomes Star training is currently being provided by Young Solutions for providers of positive activities and organisations in receipt of Police and Crime Commissioner grants.

There is always the challenge of ensuring services are relevant and up to date. Young Solutions is currently undertaking a major review of some of the support and services it offers. The review is resulting in changes and revisions to resources.  Young Solutions will be producing a set of new resources in the New Year to help those working with young people.
