We can support your organisation through our DBS Checking service, giving you complete peace of mind and confidence in your staff and volunteers.
As a registered umbrella body for the Disclosure and Barring Service, we are able to provide a responsive and prompt DBS checking service, primarily to the voluntary youth sector.
It is essential that staff and volunteers in the voluntary youth sector have undergone a relevant DBS check, to allow them to carry out ‘regulated activity’.
Through our DBS checking service, your organisation can have confidence that new staff and volunteers are appropriately checked and that existing staff have their DBS updated swiftly and thoroughly.
This helps you to make proper and fully informed ‘staffing’ decisions, ensuring that unsuitable people are prevented from working with children and young people.
Ongoing DBS support and information
Alongside the delivery of our checking service, we also produce a regular DBS and Safeguarding Newsletter.
Through this resource, we share developments in DBS services and inform you of any major updates, in addition to expert-led briefings to disseminate information and provide detailed explanations.
Those who are signed up to our service are entitled to join our registered body DBS steering group, which meets four times a year to quality control and monitor our DBS services.
If you are already signed up to our DBS service or are wanting to find out more about DBS checks, you will find more information, documents and DBS guidance on our DBS Useful Information page.
