“What a great event!” “fabulous group of young people” “I was blown away by their achievements and they were genuinely inspirational.” “It was really inspirational and fantastic to see young people who might not ordinarily get recognised for their achievements, looking so proud.”

These were some of the comments after the 2018 Tryangle Awards, held on Thursday 15^th March at Worcester Bosch. Over 110 people attended the evening, organised by Young Solutions, to see the 18 most outstanding young people in Worcestershire presented with an exclusive ‘Tryangle Award’ and certificate. The awards celebrate the achievements and efforts of young people, and uniquely recognise the ‘tryers’. These are young people who show real commitment and resolve, those who get on with things without a fuss, and those who go above and beyond. This year 38 organisations across Worcestershire nominated 74 people and we read about many wonderful achievements.

The event was expertly compered by Rachel Evans – Worcestershire’s Young Poet Laureate 2018 – who showed a great deal of confidence and maturity for someone who is only 14 years old. She introduced each award category and its presenter, and eloquently recited her own winning poem during the evening, receiving well deserved applause from the audience.

The awards evening was supported by sponsors from local businesses and volunteers from the Police Cadets, and Young Solutions were very grateful for their help. Worcester Bosch kindly hosted the event and Bob Murdoch, Manufacturing Director said “We are proud to support the young people in our local community. The stories of those involved were extremely heart felt and we all had an excellent evening celebrating the achievements of the young people willing to go that extra mile. We would like to say a huge congratulations to all of this year’s inspiring award recipients and nominees!”.
