NYA Youth Work Week 2021

This year NYA’s Youth Work Week will run from Monday 1st November to Sunday 7th November.

The theme for this year’s celebrations will be Champions of Youth Work, to celebrate the champions of youth work around the country, these can be fantastic youth workers who champion by doing great youth work, or incredible young champions who have inspired youth workers around the country!

Tuesday 2nd Nov 12:30 – 13:30

Human Rights of the Child in the 21st Century – Exploring the current human rights of young people and how organisations can champion young people’s voices

Wednesday 3rd Nov 12:30 – 13:30

Quality in Practice: Championing a vision for quality youth work – Investigating ways to ensure quality of practice within youth work now and in the future

Thursday 4th Nov 17:00 – 18:00

Championing Youth Work on a Global Platform – Showcasing how youth work supports young people across the world to aspire to be the best they can be for themselves.

Friday 5th Nov 12:30 – 13:30

Skilled and Equipped – Youth Work begins with the development of relationships, and this approach offers allied services in Health, Education, Crime and Social Care a valuable set of tools and insights to improve their work with young people. How can we champion youth work in local strategy to support it taking its place alongside these services in local strategy?
