Young Solutions has launched the youth work Training Programme for 2016/17. There are a number of new developments including all courses now carry Continuing Professional Development (CPD) recognition. The training offered is for all youth work organisations across Worcestershire and offers a wide range of courses dispersed across the county. The shape and content of the training programme has been strongly influenced by ideas and feedback from youth workers and others involved with young people.

Courses are open to applications from paid or volunteer staff. The training courses commence in October and the 15 courses offered are spread out over six months. Various venues are being used including Perdiswell Young People’s Leisure Club in Worcester, Malvern Cube and KDYT in Kidderminster. Courses include Safeguarding, Basic Drug and Alcohol Awareness, Young People’s Mental Health and Dealing with Challenging Behaviour.
